וַיְהִ֥י מוֹשֵׁ֖ל בְּכָל־הַמְּלָכִ֑ים מִן־הַנָּהָר֙ וְעַד־אֶ֣רֶץ פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים וְעַ֖ד גְּב֥וּל מִצְרָֽיִם׃
And he ruled over all the kings from the River even unto the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt.

Salomon avait autorité sur tous les pays situés entre le Fleuve et le pays des Philistins, jusqu’à la frontière d’Égypte; ils lui apportaient des présents et lui restèrent soumis toute sa vie durant.
